Friends of the Foundation Fund, Founder

In 1995 a testamentary gift of $100,000, allocated to the "Friends of the Foundation" Endowment Fund from the Henry Hook estate, reinforced the board's effort to support administrative costs of the Foundation without affecting the funds available for grantmaking. Henry Hook, a well-known Quad City civic leader and long time member of the Foundaiton's Distributrion Committee, understood well the need to endow funds for the support of administrative costs and thus insure the permanence of the Community Foundation.
