The Child Abuse Council is a private not-for-profit agency incorporated in 1977 in an effort to provide a high quality community response to the increasing incidents of child abuse and neglect in the Illinois and Iowa Quad Cities. We work with individual children and families, professionals, organizations and systems to guarantee that a continuum of services are available for responding to abuse and neglect. Our mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Council provides direct prevention and intervention services and also several indirect services through community planning and coordination. All services are offered free of charge to anyone needing them. At-risk families are specifically targeted for intervention and treatment services.
