Lucille Barr Robeson, a Davenport native, was born on July 3, 1909. In 1942 she married Clarence Robeson in Davenport. She was widowed in 1989. Lucile was employed for 30 years as secretary and bookkeeper at the American Insurance Company, Davenport. Lucile's life revolved around the First Church of Christ the Scientist. She enjoyed life and brought her joy to organizations such as the League of Women's Voters, the Republican Women's Committee and the Pricipia Club. Through her 1996 gift, Lucile's support for the community she loved will continue.
