Volkmann, Ralph and Wilma (est. 1994)

Ralph and Wilma Volkmann, lifelong residents of Davenport, designated a $735,000 bequest to the Community Foundation in 1994. This was the largest gift in the history of the Foundation at that time. Mr. Volkman, an IBM supervisor at Palmer School of Chiropractic and his wife, Wilma educated in commercial studies and employed by W. C. Putnam Estate office were truly community-minded individuals. By choosing the Community Foundation, the endowment is preserved and their gift will keep giving to the community they loved.
