Greg Heaton was born May 11, 1961 in Geneseo Illinois. Greg still resides in Geneseo and is now married to his wife Kim. Greg and Kim have three children Kelsey, 17; Justin, 15; and Kyle, 13. Greg is a board member of the Quad City Planned Giving Council and coaches little league football and basketball. Together the Heaton family enjoys outdoor activities. Their favorites are golfing and biking.
After 10 years with John Deere Ins. & John Deere Life Ins. Companies Greg started his own company. Family Wealth Concepts was started in July of 1995 and specializes in Estate and Financial Planning with a major focus on charitable planning. By having a Charitable Giving Fund with the Community Foundation I can explain to my clients our personal philanthropic experiences and especially how easy and fun giving is for the entire family.
Greg says, “Kim and I feel this is a great way to get the children involved in charitable giving at a young age. Right now we are having the children put together a list of charities they would like to support. Twice a year we sit down and review the list and support their charitable interests. We hope this is a family tradition that will carry on for many generations to come.”
