In the 1970’s, the local Iowa State University Alumni Club
established a Scholarship Fund for freshmen at Iowa State University. The scholarship is to be given to a qualified deserving student from our area. In 1998 the Alumni Club transferred the funds that had accumulated for the last 20 years to the Community Foundation which provides assistance with the administration and investment of the scholarship funds. Students from nine area counties, who will be attending Iowa State University, are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
