Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities
The Mission of the Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities is to provide direct services to people with disabilities and their families, helping them live with Equality, Dignity, and Independence. The Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities located at 1504-13th Avenue, Moline, Illinois is federally qualified tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, providing outpatient medical rehabilitation services. Services provided include:
Occupational Therapy
Goal: To promote the development of skills necessary for learning and performing specific tasks. Occupational Therapy focuses on a childs self-care skills and development to promote the childs functioning in the home, school, and community.
Physical Therapy
Goal: To promote postural control necessary to perform motor skills appropriate to the childs development. The physical therapist also provides assistance when the need arises for adaptive equipment such as braces, walkers, and wheelchairs.
Speech Therapy
Goal: To promote the development of a childs speech and language skills in order to improve communication with family, peers, and acquaintances.
Lekotek:
Lekotek is a play and resource center that supports families using developmentally appropriate toys and assistive technology to encourage fun and build confidence through interactive play. Lekotek loans toys and adapted equipment to families and offers support, education, and referral sources.
In addition special summer therapy and camping programs are offered.
